Will buy another one when wife get her notebook computer. The hot spot finder do a good job on finding hot spots.
Otherwise it just tell you the strength of any signal, not necessarily the signal you want. This product is exact what the description says. Though i have found it to be relatively useless unless I'm in an extremely remote area.
At the price I paid through Amazon, I strongly recommend this product for locating legitimate open/free networking sites. This unit has not failed to give me an indication almost exactly the same signal strength as my laptop, and so far has found a lot of wi-fi opportunities I would have otherwise passed up.
Can't go wrong for the money. Gets you into the zone, then fire up the laptop to see if the hot spot is unencrypted or encrypted. Tried it and it works great. Simple to use.
